Youth Living Skills offers speech therapy for children and young people
between the ages of 7 and 18 years living in South West Sydney. We work with people and their families living with various disabilities and medical diagnoses.
Our service is in a unique position to help your child as:
- We come to your home
- We work mostly with children and young adults
- Our therapists have extensive experience in the field, and most have worked in the public and/or private health systems with several years’ experience
- Your child’s therapy plans are developed with their distinctive personal and health needs and objectives in mind, and are aimed to enhance your child’s independence and general well-being
- Family members are involved in therapy, so that they better understand the needs of the client, and can better facilitate the application of therapy into the child’s environment and lifestyle
- Therapists also liaise with other health professionals (e.g. doctors) or educators involved in your child’s life so that (some aspects) of therapy can also be adapted to other environments
