Youth Living Skills has Disability Support Workers
that attend your home to provide highly personalised and considerate support to people with medical conditions and disabilities who need help with everyday living. We work with people in our local community of South West Sydney, and work mainly with young people between 7 and 18 years old.
Our NDIS Disability Support Workers can help you by:
- Travelling to your home and providing assistance and supports with your daily activities (e.g. self-care tasks, feeding)
- Prompting and supervising taking medications
- Developing support plans that are unique to your individual goals, needs or requests
- Being available after regular working hours and on weekends
- Working with allied health workers to develop support plans to help you achieve specific goals (e.g. training to catch public transport independently)
- Providing you with physical and emotional support
- Assisting you to attend social outings or activities to increase community participation
- Providing transport for outings, activities or medical appointments
- Working with your family and other key workers (e.g. school teachers) as needed
- Helping you to be more independent
- Ensuring that you always have choice and control over how you want to engage with us
Our Disability Support Workers
are suitable to provide children and young people with care and support as they:
- Are experienced in working with people with disabilities and various medical conditions
- Have respectful, patient and supportive natures
- Enjoy working with and helping others
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills
- Have passed Criminal Record and Working with Children Checks
We offer different kinds of programs and services like NDIS Occupational Therapy, NDIS Psychology and Speech Therapy Children program.
