Youth Living Skills specialises in
working with children and young people. Therapy plans are developed in conjunction with the child or young person and their parents/carers/family members, and can also incorporate other professionals such as other therapists, doctors or school teachers as needed.
We understand that people’s circumstances and needs change over time, especially in children who are developing, and we regularly review therapy plans with clients to reflect any changes. Youth Living Skills also considers any requests clients and their family may have, such as:
- gender preference for workers
- families’ schedules and availabilities
- requests about how staff are expected to behave when visiting people in their homes, and
- any cultural considerations staff need to be aware of
Therapy for children and young people is focused on improving independence, self-confidence, and enhancing the overall wellbeing of individuals, so that they can achieve their goals and interact with their community as they wish. To best achieve this, Youth Living Skills believes that it is imperative for therapy to be adaptable to the person’s everyday environment and lifestyle, and that the child’s family, teachers, other therapists or health professionals are involved in the therapy as appropriate.
We offer NDIS children services in different areas like NDIS Campbelltown and NDIS Liverpool.
